Bond, Cash-Only Amounts, No-Bond Entries and Holds
Read the Gwinnett booking record charge by charge. A single number at the top does not always tell you whether release is immediately possible.

Do not automatically interpret zero dollars as “free release.” Expand the charge rows and look for no-bond entries, probation matters, failures to appear, court orders or holds.
If One Charge Has Bond and Another Does Not

If a Hold Appears

What First Appearance Does
The accused is advised of rights. A preliminary-hearing date and bond hearing may also be addressed. Some offenses cannot have bond set by Magistrate Court and must be referred to Superior Court.
What Is Gwinnett Fast Track Jail Court?
The Gwinnett County Solicitor General runs Fast Track Jail Court for qualifying defendants who cannot make their set bond in a timely manner.
The current county page lists sessions on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Qualifying matters may be resolved outside the normal State Court track and can result in release from custody.
Not an automatic release program: eligibility depends on the criminal case. The official instructions are directed primarily to attorneys seeking to add qualifying clients to the jail-court calendar.

The Sheriff’s current policy routes ordinary correspondence through a central scanning facility while certain items continue to go directly to the jail.

Sending Money: Jail Instructions vs Correctional Complex Instructions
This is one area where third-party pages commonly mix Gwinnett’s two facilities.

Gwinnett Criminal History Report vs Inmate Search
A current inmate search answers a custody question. It is not the same product as an official Georgia criminal-history report.
Current Gwinnett Police Criminal-History Requirements

Gwinnett Police says criminal-history information from other states must be obtained through the FBI and that its local service is not provided for U.S. citizenship or immigration purposes.

Georgia record restriction can affect more than the statewide criminal-history display. Gwinnett publishes a separate step for related jail records after the underlying record has been restricted.
Dismissed Misdemeanor Arrests
For qualifying Gwinnett misdemeanor arrests before July 1, 2013, the current Solicitor guidance directs applicants to begin with the arresting agency. For qualifying arrests on or after July 1, 2013 that were referred to the Solicitor and dismissed or reduced to a local ordinance violation, the current county process allows submission to the Solicitor’s Office.
Felony Arrests
Gwinnett’s District Attorney publishes a separate felony restriction process. For felony arrests after July 1, 2013 in Gwinnett County, the current instructions provide an online application route and require government-issued identification.
Then Address the Jail Record
Gwinnett’s Solicitor guidance states that 30 days after the criminal record has been restricted, the individual may send a written request to the appropriate county or municipal jail or detention center asking that records for the restricted offense also be restricted.
The guidance states that the jail or detention center then has 30 days after receiving that request to restrict applicable criminal-history record information it maintains for the restricted offense.
This is eligibility-specific: record restriction is governed by Georgia law and depends on the case outcome, date, charge and other circumstances. A dismissed case does not mean every online copy disappears automatically.
When to Switch From Gwinnett Jail View to Georgia DOC
A fresh arrest belongs in the Sheriff’s roster. A sentenced person may later become a Georgia Department of Corrections offender.

Georgia DOC’s offender-journey guidance says the sentencing phase can last approximately up to 30 days, during which the offender may remain in a local jail while waiting for transfer to a diagnostic facility.
Do not assume a database conflict: a person remaining in Gwinnett County custody while state transfer is pending can be part of the normal transition process.
