What to Do With Blank Rows or Impossible Booking Dates
Public jail systems occasionally contain incomplete, default or legacy-looking values. During this audit, the live roster displayed blank-name entries using a January 1, 1900 timestamp.

Why a Felony May Appear in Municipal Court First
Portsmouth Municipal Court explains that misdemeanor cases are heard there, while felony charges may initially pass through the court for a probable-cause hearing. If probable cause is found, the felony matter can be sent to Scioto County Common Pleas Court for final disposition.

The Sheriff states that a released inmate can request the unused commissary balance from the Administrative Office during published weekday hours. The inmate must present photo identification, and the refund is released only to the inmate.
