Find Calhoun County Mugshots, Recent Arrests and Current Jail Status Without Guessing
Most people landing here want one of three things: a recent Calhoun County booking photo, a current jail-status check, or the court case after an arrest. Each question uses a different official source.
Use the Sheriff’s Arrest Report for recent booking activity, the Jail Log for current custody, and the Calhoun County Clerk’s court records for hearings, payments and case outcome. This page walks you through what to click, what to compare, and what to do when a result is missing.
Open the Sheriff page, then choose the exact tool
Calhoun County Sheriff’s site lists Jail Log and Arrest Report in its useful links. Do not search a generic database before using these two official routes.
- If you want recent arrests or mugshots, choose Arrest Report.
- If you want to know whether someone is still in jail now, choose Jail Log.
- Search or scan by name and date. Compare full name, booking/process date, age, agency, statute, charge and bail/bond.
- If the person is found, save the details before leaving the page.
- If the court case matters, open the Clerk’s court-record search next.
Use This Simple Route Instead of Reading a Bunch of Text
Arrest Report → Jail Log → Clerk Court Records → e-Notify / VINE / FDOC
First Pick the Right Official Source
The main mistake is using the wrong record. A recent booking list, a current jail log, and a court case docket do not answer the same question.
Open the Sheriff site → choose Arrest Report → scan the report for the person’s name and booking/process date → compare charge and agency → then check the jail log if you need current custody.
Use the Arrest Report. Look for process date/time, arrest date/time, inmate number, age, sex, city/state, agency, statute, charge description and bail/bond.
Use the Jail Log. If the person is not listed there but appears in an arrest report, they may have been released, transferred or updated out of the live jail list.
Check the arrest/jail entry first → save the bail/bond field → call 850-674-5049 before paying → check the Clerk case after first appearance.
Open the Clerk website → Online Services → Search Court Records → search by name or case number → then use e-Notify only as a reminder layer.
Use VINELink Florida after confirming the correct person. VINE is for notification; it is not a replacement for the Sheriff’s jail log or the court record.

How to Read Calhoun County Booking and Mugshot Fields
| Field | What to do with it | Common mistake |
|---|---|---|
| Inmate No. | Use it when calling the jail or comparing report entries. | Treating it as a court case number. |
| Process Date / Time | Shows when the jail/report processed the record. | Assuming it is the exact arrest time. |
| Arrest Date / Time | Helps connect the arrest event to court and agency records. | Assuming release status from arrest time alone. |
| Agency | Tells you who made or processed the arrest. | Asking the jail for every agency’s incident report. |
| Statute | Use it to understand the legal code listed at booking. | Assuming the final court charge will always match. |
| Statute Description | Explains the booking charge in plain language. | Treating the description as a conviction. |
| Bail / Bond | Starting clue for release/payment questions. | Paying before checking holds, court changes or current status. |
| City / State / ZIP | Extra identity clue for common names. | Publishing private assumptions beyond the official record. |
No Result? Here Is the Practical Troubleshooting Order
The record may not have posted yet. Recheck later or call the jail with the person’s full name, date of birth if known, and arrest time/location.
The person may appear in an arrest report but not in the current jail log. Search the Clerk record next.
Try last name only, maiden/alias spelling, hyphenated name, or shortened first name.
Panhandle arrests can involve neighboring counties. Confirm where the person was booked, not just where the incident happened.
If the jail record is gone, use the Clerk’s court-record search. The court case can remain available after the jail listing changes.
If the person moved to Florida Department of Corrections custody or supervision, the county jail tool is no longer the right place.
Use the Bureau of Prisons locator for federal custody. A county jail log is not a federal inmate database.
Calhoun County Jail Contact: Call With the Right Question

Use a short script
“I’m checking current jail status for [full name]. The arrest report shows process date [date/time], agency [agency], charge [charge]. Can you confirm whether this person is still in Calhoun County custody and whether bond or a court hold affects release?”
- Call 911 for emergencies.
- Do not ask staff for legal advice.
- Do not demand protected/private information.
- Use the Clerk for court docket questions.
Calhoun County Jail Visitation: What to Ask Before You Drive
The official jail information page publicly confirms jail contact details, but it does not provide a full always-current visitation rulebook on the accessible page. That means the practical answer is to call before traveling.
- Is this inmate currently eligible for visitation?
- What are today’s visitation hours?
- Does the visit require scheduling?
- What ID is required?
- Can minors visit, and with whom?
- Are phones, bags, smartwatches or keys allowed?
- How early should visitors arrive?
- Are visits contact, non-contact, video or cancelled today?
- Recheck the jail log.
- Confirm the inmate is still held locally.
- Call 850-674-5049.
- Ask if the inmate’s classification/status allows visits.
- Bring only required items.
- Arrive early enough for screening.
Bond and Release: What to Check Before Paying Anything
A booking report may show a bail/bond amount, but that number is not enough by itself. First appearance, added charges, warrants, probation holds or court orders can change the release path.
Florida First Appearance: Why the First Day Matters
In Florida, an arrested person who has not already been lawfully released is generally taken before a judge within 24 hours of arrest. Bond, release conditions and next court steps often become clearer after this stage.
Jail status
Use the Jail Log or call the jail to confirm custody and whether a bond is currently available.
Court record
Use the Clerk record to check docket events, court dates, payments and orders.
Legal help
Use a licensed Florida attorney or official legal-aid route for legal advice.

How to Request a Sheriff Arrest Report or Public Record
If the online record does not answer your question, make a precise public-records request instead of searching random mugshot sites.
Custodian route
The Sheriff’s Public Records page lists Crystal Chason as Public Records Custodian.
Phone: 850-674-5049
Email: [email protected]
Send a focused request
“I am requesting the public arrest/booking record for [full name], arrest or process date [date], agency [agency if known], charge [charge if known]. Please let me know if there are copying fees or if the record is maintained by another agency.”
Victim Services: Use This When Safety or Notification Matters
If the reason for searching is safety, court participation or release awareness, use the Sheriff’s victim services and VINE routes instead of only reading a mugshot page.

Old Calhoun County Mugshot Online? What You Can Actually Do
Many users are not trying to find a new arrest; they are trying to understand an old mugshot that still appears online. The correct next step depends on where the image is hosted.
Search the Clerk record to verify what happened in court before asking any site to update a page.
Use FDLE’s seal and expunge process to understand official Florida record-relief steps.
A separate removal or correction request may be required if another site copied the image.
If the case outcome or eligibility is unclear, contact a Florida attorney or legal-aid resource.
