Searching Quad Cities mugshots is unusual because the metro crosses both Iowa and Illinois. Davenport and Bettendorf commonly point to Scott County, Iowa, while Rock Island, Moline and East Moline commonly point to Rock Island County, Illinois.

The Illinois side of the Quad Cities uses Rock Island County’s separate correctional system. The Rock Island County Sheriff’s Office links to its inmate-listing portal and says its Correctional Center runs a centralized booking system for arrestees in the county.
The Sheriff also says the booking system uses digitized fingerprints and a computerized mugshot system. That confirms mugshots are part of the booking process, but it does not mean every historical booking photograph is guaranteed to remain publicly displayed online.

Rock Island, Moline and East Moline searches should not begin in Scott County simply because Davenport is nearby.
