It also states that only records maintained within the jail should be treated as the official records of the Division of Corrections.

If your real question is “Who was booked recently?”, the county has another useful source. The Volusia County Clerk’s Online Public Records page provides Criminal Arrest Information consisting of 24-hour arrest data for people arrested and booked into the Branch Jail during the previous 24 hours.
The Clerk says those daily files contain initial booking, charge and violation information and remain available to download for approximately fourteen calendar days. That makes them useful for recent-booking research, but they should not be confused with a live current-custody roster.

Volusia Bond, First Appearance and Release Information
Volusia County says bond information is available through the Branch Jail Booking Office at 386-254-1555, and the Booking Office is open 24 hours a day. The county directs people who need to post bond or attend a First Appearance hearing to the Branch Jail.
The county also states that, effective April 29, 2024, inmates generally are not released between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. unless a responsible party is on site to transport the person off Corrections property. The responsible party must check in with Control before the inmate is released.
Bond scam warning: Volusia County Corrections says its staff will not solicit a bond for anyone. The county warns about fraudulent calls or texts claiming to be jail staff or bail bondsmen and requesting transfers through services such as Zelle, PayPal, Cash App or Bitcoin. Use the official corrections phone numbers instead of payment instructions received unexpectedly.
Why bond does not always equal immediate release
Release may still depend on processing, court action, warrants, holds, identification issues, transportation rules or other lawful conditions. A listed bond amount is therefore not a guaranteed release time.

Volusia County Jail Visitation: Booking Number, Scheduling and Check-In
Volusia Corrections states that it does not provide contact visitation. Visits are held at the Video Visitation Center at 1300A Red John Drive, next to the Branch Jail, and are by appointment only.
